Monty Dunn
Monty is a final year medical student at Cambridge University, UK. He has been an active UAEMer since the start of 2020, originally with his local chapter, before taking on the role of Co-National Coordinator for UAEM UK. His UAEM skillset lies in the technical aspects of A2M advocacy, technology transfer practices and Tech Transfer Office (TTO) negotiations. For almost 4 years he has engaged with a series of key decision makers at UK and US TTOs to push for their adoption of equitable access strategies and access clauses in transfer agreements with the end goal of making health technologies developed in university labs reach the people that need them. This work has shown slow progress but he hopes that on the ECC he can continue this work and empower others to do the same at their universities.
