Sophie Tragert

Sophie Tragert is a medical student at Charité Universitätsmedizin in Berlin, currently working on her thesis for her medical degree. She will begin the final year of her studies, known as the "practical year," in November 23. Sophie is passionate about promoting equitable access to essential medicines and striving for a more just healthcare system. Her engagement with Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) has provided her with opportunities to contribute to the Free the Vaccine campaign in 2021 and organize lectures, workshops, and events in Berlin. She has also conducted a study on conflict of interest policies in German medical schools as part of her work with UAEM. Beyond her medical studies and advocacy work, Sophie finds solace and joy in outdoor activities. Cycling, climbing, and windsurfing are among her favorite hobbies, serving as a means to recharge and maintain a balanced lifestyle.
