Katharina Wolfenstetter

Kathi holds a Master’s degree in Health Economics and Management with a focus on Global Health, for which she studied and lived in three different European cities: Innsbruck, Rotterdam and Bologna. She currently lives in Munich, Germany where she is working for the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care, primarily focused on improving the work conditions for the nursing staff in hospitals.
During her studies, she joined UAEM and served in European leadership as chair and member of the Empowerment Committee between 2019 and 2022. Part of her role was joining the Free the Vaccine for COVID-19 campaign as a mentor and assistant project manager, where she developed creative activism tactics to advocate for equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines.


Kathi is passionate about Global Health and ensuring that health as a human right is secured to all. She has joined the board of UAEM Europe in 2023, aspiring to be an advocate for change in the access to medicines field and empowering young people in their fight for an equitable healthcare system.
