Hanna Wu

UAEM at Johns Hopkins University

Hanna is a junior at Johns Hopkins University double majoring in Anthropology and Medicine, Science, and Humanities. Hanna joined UAEM in 2022 and has helped restart the JHU chapter of UAEM. Since then, she has primarily been involved with the clinical trials transparency campaign and ETAF committee. She was formerly a research assistant at the JHU Bloomberg School of Public Health IDEA Initiative (Innovation + Design Enabling Access) studying under Dr. Anthony So. Currently, she works as an  undergraduate researcher at the Siliciano Lab studying the HIV latent reservoir and antibody response for patients on long-term ART. Outside of research, Hanna volunteers as a patient advocate at the East Baltimore Medical Center helping clients with applications for food stamps, transportation assistance, health insurance, and more. In her free time, Hanna enjoys hiking, playing the violin, and spending time with friends and family.
