Alli Wiltshire

Alli is a recent graduate from UC Berkeley where she studied Molecular and Cell Biology, concentrating in Genetics, Genomics, Evolution, and Development. She joined UAEM in her freshman year of university, in the spring of 2020. For close to three years, she ran a class at Berkeley where she taught fellow students a curriculum centered around access to medicines, developed connections with health equity experts around the Bay Area to invite in as guest speakers, and sparked passion for equitable medicine in students who otherwise would never have been exposed to the topic. As part of the UAEM Executive Team at Cal, she met with state legislators to advocate for bills and worked to implement the Affordable Access Plan at Cal. Outside of UAEM, she served on Cal's Student Health Advisory Committee to advocate for student mental health needs. Currently, she is working as a Clinical Research Coordinator at UCSF in the Movement Disorder and Neuromodulation Clinic within the Neurology Department. She hopes to pursue a career that allows her to advocate for patients and remove greed and complacency from healthcare.
