Rahil Modi

Rahil is a recent graduate from UCLA, where he studied Computational and Systems Biology with a concentration in Biological Data Sciences. He joined the UCLA UAEM chapter in 2019 and went on to serve as education co-director and co-internal vice president. Through UAEM, Rahil has spearheaded multiple legislative campaigns in the state of California and written an op-ed on racism in the American healthcare system. Outside of UAEM, Rahil is researching the relationship between DNA methylation and aging at the Pellegrini Lab and volunteering with unhoused communities in West Los Angeles with the UCLA Mobile Clinic Project. He hopes to pursue a career at the intersection of medicine, data science, public health and health policy.
