In the year of 2012, a fellow Aggie student, who understood the importance of access to medicines to the people, started a UAEM chapter at University of California, Davis. This student gathered like-minded people who were driven by the same mission and expressed willingness to make changes locally and potentially globally in the world of medicine.
Today, blessed by the founders of the chapter of 2012, we have a rapidly growing chapter dedicated to make changes to the universities’ distribution of patents and licenses pertaining to the restriction of access to medicines. We have dedicated team of leaders who aspire to ensure the smooth progress of the organization’s mission along with a partnership with UCDavis’ Global HealthShare.
